Covid-19 taught the world what a pandemic is and means. The 2009 definition of a pandemic by the World Health Organization is, “An epidemic occurring worldwide, or over a very wide area, crossing international boundaries and usually affecting a large number of people.” To further narrow that definition, an epidemic is defined by Merrriam-Webster Dictionary as, “Affecting or tending to affect a disproportionately large number of individuals within a population, community, or region at the same time.” To that end, Covid has affected .42% of the world population or approximately 1 out of every 200 people in the world. Female Sexual Dysfunction affects up to 46% of the adult female world population. Meaning that nearly 1 out of 2 adult women is affected by Female Sexual Dysfunction.
Table 1 in the attached article titled, Diagnosis and Treatment of Female Sexual Dysfunction shows the varying percentages of women suffering from the varying types of Female Sexual Dysfunction.
