Orgasmology - A New Discipline
Welcome to Orgasmology — a new discipline dedicated to treating orgasmic difficulties. The Female Orgasm Research Institute, our nonprofit research arm, is leading the development of this field through science and publications. At the Female Orgasm Training Institute, we bring that research into practice by training clinicians — and eventually women themselves — in the principles and methods of Orgasmology.
Why It Matters
Female Orgasmic Disorder/Difficulty affects up to 71% of women, yet no FDA-approved treatments exist.
Until now, there has been no specialty dedicated solely to orgasmic function.
Orgasmology fills this gap by building a new field of science, clinical models, and evidence-based frameworks.Our Role
FORI leads the development of orgasmology through:
Publishing peer-reviewed research.
Advancing cannabis and orgasm science.
Defining treatment models (Altered State of Consciousness, State of Absorption, Dishabituation, Amygdala Reduction, Neuroplasticity, Multimodal).
Setting the intellectual and scientific foundation for future specialists.
Orgasmology is both a science and a movement — reclaiming orgasm as essential to women’s health, sexual equity, and embodied agency.
